About Evergreen Downtown
Authentic Family-owned Chinese Restaurant in Downtown Ann Arbor.
Located at 208 W Liberty St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104, Evergreen Downtown operates as a chinese restaurant serving Ann Arbor in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 amβ10 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Evergreen Downtown at (734) 929-5460; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Overall Rating: 3.5/5 The Food (3/5):** Both dishes looked great but lacked flavor and spice. The Mapo Tofu missed that signature punch, and some pieces of the chicken weren't cooked all the way through. Vibe & Service (4.5/5):** Nice ambiance and attentive service. given the lack of better options around Ann Arbor, it's still a decent spot for the atmosphere.

Staff not very welcoming. We're there for my son's birthday. Food was good and fresh. I believe the service threw our facilitation off. Asked for Mongolian beef and waitress said yes we have that. I thought the common Mongolian beef with that flavor as well but we got this soupy type very spicy that you eat with rice. We were confused thought we would need bowls then for this but no waitress in sight. Finally she came and we asked she said yes this isn't the same one you are talking about. Wish she would've explained that. Didn't offer to take off bill which is fine but would've been nice for her to try to make it right even an alternative dish. The sweet and sour chicken and the general tso was good. The appetizer for me i didn't like but our guests liked it. I'm not into the fluffiness of it. But if you do like then you will definitely like the way they made it. Chicken fried rice was good too. Service really killed it but would go again when just wanting good Chinese food. Price was reasonable as well....5 people about 120.00 anything more than that wouldn't make sense as it's your typical Chinese food so we were very happy with the price. Give it a try but be prepared for the

Got the chicken with broccoli, green beans, and chicken wings with a side of white rice. The chicken wings were the best part about the meal. The chicken with broccoli just tasted alright, like it was missing something or could have benefited from more flavor or a heavier sauce? It was not very satisfying. The green beans were pretty decent but still not my favorite. Still I just finished my meal wishing there was more flavor overall. Also ordering online is super complicated if you want to use their first-timer discount. I wouldnβt return

The first time my boyfriend and I visited Ann Arbor we came here, and we have been here several times since!!! The food is always hot and tastes amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I love getting the potstickers and the chicken rice noodles, but weβve tried many items on the menu and theyβre all great :) would recommend! They also give good portions for what you pay, too.

We went for an early Valentines day dinner. The restaurant was slow because it was early dinner time but service was prompt and friendly with very fresh food. We ordered the cilantro cumin beef with a 4-5 spice level and sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Both were delicious but I would have really liked the addition of pineapple and green pepper on the sweet and sour chicken. We will be returning to try other dishes.
